How to Remove Pet Stains and Odors

Well! As we all know, the minute we turn our back, our pet realizes that the new carpet is just the right place to relieve itself.

Even after multiple cleaning attempts, it’s extremely hard to get rid of that smell & stain. In such a case, what could you possibly do?

Find out where it happened
  • Find out which areas are dirty.
  • Train your pet once again to avoid targeting those areas.
  • Outline the stained areas with a chalk.
  • Rinse the "stained area" thoroughly with clean, cool water. After rinsing, remove excess water by blotting.

As long as your pet can smell his own scent, he will continue to return to the "stained area." Even if you aren't able to smell traces of pet urine, your pet surely can.
Make the "stained area" uninviting and unavailable to your pet. Then use positive reinforcement techniques to show him the appropriate place to relieve himself. The re-training period may take a week or more. Remember, it took him time to build the bad habit, and it will take time to replace that habit with a new behavior. So treat your pet with patience and encourage him!
